BBC West Midlands today visited Autonet Insurance to see how our recruitment process takes place and to highlight recruitment methods that are adopted by companies around the West Midlands. We have recently held opening evenings for perspective candidates allowing them to tour the building and speak to employees who work here. The footage of an induction class and interviews with recent successful candidates will be shown tonight January 18th 2012 BBC West Midlands, BBC1 at 6.30pm.

Autonet Insurance have been announced the winners of the Entrepreneur Award at the 6 Towns Radio Stoke-on-Trent awards. The awards ceremony took place at The Mitchell Arts Centre in Stoke-on-Trent at the weekend. The night was to celebrate current and upcoming businesses and people in the local area. Ian Donaldson, Managing Director of Autonet collected the award on behalf of Autonet and with the focus heavily on Stoke-on-Trent and its success, the award itself was in the form of a golden oatcake.

Autonet Insurance are pleased to announce we have successfully raised £452.00 for the charity Savana. The money was raised by employees of Autonet dressing down for the last charity dress down day of the year. Savana is a local charity which helps people that have suffered from abuse.

Autonet are pleased to announce that we have raised a successful £253.66 for the Midlands Air Ambulance. The money has been raised by employees of Autonet dressing down for the day. The amount will go towards the Air Ambulance that provides assistance to a number of communities including Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

Throughout the year Autonet Insurance have been busy fundraising for local charities around Stoke-on-Trent. The charity committee have visited charities and come up with many ideas for fundraising throughout 2011. The total raised for the year is an astonishing £16,131.61 in total. It is a great achievement and worth all the hard work that has gone into making this happen.

Members of the Autonet Charity Committee featured in The Sentinel newspaper yesterday showing how the staff at Autonet Insurance raise money for deserving charities. £15,000 has been raised this year for charities including the Staffordshire Adult Autistic Society, The Gingerbread Centre and the North Staffs Special Adventure Playground.

Here at Autonet Insurance we have being doing our bit for Children in Need 2011. Staff members sold cakes, donated their dress down money and also took part in a sponsored wax. The total we raised for Children in Need was £638.94.

North Staffs Carers Association, The Gingerbread Centre and Staffordshire Adults Autistics Society all received a visit from Emma Cherrington who is the Charity Committee secretary accompanied by Daniel Picken the Public Relations Executive for Autonet, to make a surprise donation.

Autonet Insurance, the UK’s largest van insurance broker has made yet another sizable donation to a very deserving charity. The local based charity Breath of Life received a cheque for £1000 from Autonet to pay towards specialist equipment that will help detect respiratory issues earlier allowing for faster treatment against breathing problems.
