Singer Pete Doherty will be facing yet another sharp rise in his car insurance premium after being charged with being drunk at the wheel.
Police stopped the Babyshambles and ex-Libertines singer in Gloucester after his car was spotted "being driven erratically".
The 30-year-old had just finished an acoustic set at the city's Guildhall when he was arrested and charged with drink-driving, dangerous driving, possession of a Class A drug and driving without a valid licence or insurance.
A woman from London was also arrested with him in Derby Road, off Barton Street, on suspicion of drug possession, but she has been released without charge.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesman confirmed that a 30-year-old man from Marlborough, Wiltshire, was being held.
A spokesman said: "At approximately 12.30am officers on patrol in Eastgate Street, Gloucester, saw a car being driven erratically.
"The vehicle drove off into Barton Street and stopped in Derby Road, where a man and woman found in the vehicle were arrested."
Doherty, who is a former boyfriend of model Kate Moss, has been remanded in custody and will appear before magistrates in Stroud.
