One of the customers of Ford has placed a special centenary order to mark the American car manufacturer's 100th anniversary in the UK.
Originally, grounds and countryside management services provider Glendale had planned for a 97-vehicle order for its countrywide fleet.
However, to mark Ford's 100th anniversary in the UK, they have now placed an order of 100 Ford commercial vehicles.
With a bulk order of 100 vehicles, they may want to get a good deal for appropriate van insurance to protect their huge investment.
The vehicles ordered range from the Ford Fiesta Van to the Ranger pick-up, the Transit Connect and the larger Transit. Many will be converted and used for horticultural and arboricultural work.
Ford dealer Gordons of Bolton is also celebrating its 100 years of service in the UK.
Stuart Darbyshire, commercial director at Glendale said: "The relationship between Glendale, Ford and Gordons spans many years and is testament to the quality of the product and the service they provide."
