Motoring giant Ford has scooped a number of motoring awards at this year's What Car? ceremony in London.
Not only was the new Fiesta voted car of the year and best supermini, but the Ford Mondeo also claimed best family car and best estate car.
What Car? editor Steve Fowler said: "The Fiesta is the right car at the right time - small in size, but big on ability.
"We love the way it looks and the way it drives, but it also stacks up as a shrewd buy, offering space and quality, while being affordable to buy and run."
John Fleming, Ford of Europe chairman and chief executive, said: "This is tremendous news for the whole Ford team."
Retaining its title of best executive car was Jaguar's XF, while the British-built Mini Cooper S held on to the best hot hatch award for the third year in a row.
Volkswagen scooped three awards - the readers' award for the Golf GTi, best small family car for the new Volkswagen Golf and the best open-top car for the Volkswagen Eos.
The What Car? safety accolade went to the European New Car Assessment Programme, for its work in testing the safety of all new cars over the past 10 years.
