Fleet World magazine's top accolade has been won by Volkswagen Fleet Services, while the German carmaker`s Crafter has been named best large van at the publication`s annual awards event.
The Editor's Award, presented to Cheryle Kateley, Volkswagen UK`s fleet marketing manager, hails all aspects of the company`s fleet operations, from vehicles to customer care.
Says editor Ross Durkin: "Volkswagen's success is richly deserved in what is a highly competitive market. The strength of product and the brand's commitment to fleet customers made Volkswagen a worthy winner."
Vincent Kinner, Volkswagen's head of fleet services, said: "We're proud to be honoured with this award, especially since it recognises the service we provide to our fleet customers and the challenge of meeting and exceeding the high standards they rightfully expect of us."
The Crafter won best van for the third consecutive year. Says national fleet manager Chris Blue: "For the Crafter to defend its title for the third year in the a row in such a competitive market is a tremendous achievement and a reflection of the level of sustained popularity the Crafter has enjoyed in the UK."
