The Ford Focus has been voted as the decade's most popular car by an Auto Trader magazine poll.
The model pushed the Ford Fiesta into second spot.
The BMW 3 Series, the Ford Mondeo and the Vauxhall Astra followed in the third, fourth and fifth respectively.
Fiat's Panda was named the best value for money car, while the Toyota Prius was deemed the "greenest" vehicle of the decade.
Owned by celebrities such as Simon Cowell and Jenson Button, the Bugatti Veyron was dubbed the car "beyond your wildest dreams". The car was also voted the most overpriced car of the decade.
Range Rover won the award for the best "celebrity mobile" vehicle, while Jeremy Clarkson was named the top motoring personality.
Accolades for top car accessories were also handed out. The Baby on Board sign bagged the first position, followed by car freshener, the nodding dog and football memorabilia.
Matt Thompson, marketing director of Auto Trader, said: "From the emergence of eco-friendly cars as a viable option for consumers to the replacement of maps and asking for directions with in-car satnav, the noughties have provided some interesting changes to the way consumers think about and drive their cars."
