A Peterborough motorcyclist, who feared that his days as "Viker Biker" could be over after an accident, is set to get back on the road again.
Mark Slater, a former oil rig worker who began dressing up like a Viking five years ago, travelled around the city in his Yamaha Virago 535 to raise funds for charities.
The 49-year-old biker thought his fundraising act has come to an end after the crash, in which he suffered neck injuries and his motorbike was ruined.
But, the father-of-three made up his mind to cruise the roads with his horned helmet once again after recovering from his injuries and finding another bike.
Mr Slater said: "I had the accident in November. I hurt my neck and my bike was absolutely wrecked. I wasn't sure what to do.
"But I've got a Yamaha DragStar XVS 1100 which I've nicknamed Thor - and I've got my confidence back. I'm still a bit sore, but I'm on the road again."
