Honda has introduced a new 125cc scooter it claims can deliver an impressive 130 miles per gallon.
For budget-conscious enthusiasts looking for fuel economy and cheap bike insurance, the PCX scooter may have much to offer.
It is styled like most modern machines and is powered by a 125cc four-stroke engine with an automatic "twist-and-go" transmission.
But its special feature is the idle stop switch, which, when enabled, cuts off the engine after three seconds of idling and re-starts it when the throttle is twisted open again. Honda says the new functionality improves fuel efficiency by up to 5%.
The PCX125 also comes with under-seat storage space large enough to house a full-face helmet. The machine is now in showrooms and is priced at £2,270.
