An independent garage in Gloucestershire has emerged as the winner of this year's Golden Garage Awards run by Motor Codes.
Clive Woolford Motor Engineers from Tewkesbury beat off competition from nine other regional finalists to be named the national winner and collect a share of the £12,000 prize fund.
The motoring consumer codes body organises the annual campaign as part of its goal to identify the country's most trustworthy car service and repair centres.
Ian Boskett, owner of Clive Woolford Motor Engineers, said: "We pride ourselves in providing a friendly, trustworthy, family-run business that our customers can rely on to provide them with value for money and excellent customer service.
"Winning the Golden Garages competition means so much to us, because it is based on the votes and recommendations of customers - that's the biggest compliment any business can get."
Drivers who use the winning garage can expect to save money - cash they can put into their car insurance premiums.
