Italian Job tops car movie poll

by  |

A survey has found that the iconic 1960s film The Italian Job is the most-loved car movie among Britons.

The Honda poll saw the 1969 classic pip a range of other well-known motor movies to the number-one spot in the UK's top 10 car films.

Among those coming in behind the Mini favourite were Bullit, Cannonball Run and The Blues Brothers - with car insurance customers likely to be among those voting.

More than a third of men polled picked The Italian Job as their favourite car movie, but for ladies it was Grease that was the biggest draw. The 1971 musical was voted top by around a third of them.

The firm conducted the research in a bid to celebrate a series of events it is holding at showrooms this summer in recognition of its involvement with the British Touring Car Championship.

Honda Racing: Saturday Night at the Drive In will show the films picked by the public at showrooms over the summer.
