Broker Expo to travel south

by  |
After the success of Broker Expo 2010, Insurance Age has announced the launch of Broker Expo South - the sister event to Broker Expo, an exhibition held every year in Coventry.

Last year, a record breaking 750 Insurance intermediaries attended the Coventry event, far surpassing the previous record of 564 in 2009.  Intermediaries from various countries in Europe were also in attendance.

Keen to make the most of the networking opportunities, delegates enjoyed a day of workshops on a host of hot topics including social media, start-up businesses, regulation and website usability.

The event has become established as a must-attend event in the insurance industry’s calendar, and has secured Chartered Insurance Institute accreditation for the content meaning that brokers who attend the workshops can claim Continuous Professional Development points.

This newest event will mirror its larger counterpart providing business opportunities, education and networking for general insurance brokers in the south of England.

The event, which takes place on 15 September at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge, Surrey, has attracted 40 top level exhibitors who will be showcasing their products and services to around 250 brokers.

The exhibition will feature the very best that the UK insurance industry has to offer, with companies such as Axa Insurance, Oak Underwriting, LV and PowerPlace providing exhibits. Alongside this, the free to attend workshop program will provide in-depth expert insight on the very latest happenings in the industry’s developments.

The workshops are there to help brokers understand how to best manage their business risks and keep on the right side of the regulator.   Furthermore, they will provide information on diversifying revenues and how to make the most of social media. Brokers will also be treated to an entrepreneurial master class.

Topics and facilitators are hand-picked, with years of industry experience, to ensure that brokers take away the most relevant, practical advice for their business, and each visitor has the opportunity to personalise their learning experience by choosing from four highly targeted sessions.

Ian Donaldson, Managing Director of Autonet Insurance said: “We firmly believe at Autonet Insurance that to improve customer service and standard of quality, you can never stop learning. That is why we always make the most of events like these, to continually further our knowledge, and to improve our brand year on year.”
