A Ford Transit ice cream van has helped drivers in the UK keep cool while the country sizzles in record temperatures.
As part of the Ford Centenary Tour, the 1998 model van called "Ginger" has been driving around Marsh Mills on the coast in Plymouth and the British Street Food Awards in Suffolk.
The van's owner, ice cream maker Claire Kelsey, developed a new flavour containing rhubarb crumble and ginger called "Ford 99 plus 1", in honour of the centenary. Free samples of the new ice cream were handed out to the first 100 customers at Vospers Ford dealership in Plymouth.
"Ginger" also helped Kelsey win one of the top prizes at the 2011 British Street Food Awards. Her ice cream company Ginger's Comfort Emporium scooped the award for best dessert with an ice cream made of roast banana, salt caramel and peanut.
Let's hope Ms Kelsey has a good van insurance - what with all that delicious ice cream on board.
