Goods worth £10,000 stolen from van

Robbers wearing masks have stolen more than £10,000 worth of designer clothes after holding up a van at traffic lights on a busy street in Scotland.

The two men jumped into the van and forced the driver out of the vehicle before speeding off from High Street, Glasgow at about 10.30am on Friday.

The driver, 53 was uninjured but shaken by the incident. The van was later found in Townmill Street, Dennistoun, but without its contents.

Detective Inspector Jim Bradley said: "This is a fairly busy location and there would have been quite a bit of activity and traffic around the time of the incident.

"I would urge anyone who may have noticed anything which seemed a little untoward to contact us as your information could prove to be a vital link in our inquiry."

Police suspect the thieves might have used a silver or grey car, similar to a Ford Cougar, before the attack and later on used it to flee.
