Stoke City and England footballer Peter Crouch will have to make another home insurance claim after he was targeted by burglars for the second time in recent years.
The £4.5 million Cheshire mansion of the former Liverpool and Tottenham striker and his model wife Abbey Clancy was broken into on Tuesday while the couple were out.
The pair live in Mottram St Andrew, a village close to Prestbury and Alderley Edge, known locally as "millionaires' row" because of its popularity amongst Premier League footballers.
Neighbours of Crouch are thought to include fellow celebrity couple Wayne and Coleen Rooney and Manchester City's Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez.
Crouch was previously the victim of burglary in Cheshire when he lived at a different address in Alderley Edge in 2006. He was one of a number of footballer victims including Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard in a series of raids staged when matches were being played because the burglars knew the players would not be at home.
