The Commercial Vehicle Show visits Birmingham

The Commercial Vehicle Show took place last week at the NEC in Birmingham which showcased commercial vehicles and accessories to companies and visitors around the UK.

Over the years the Commercial Vehicle Show has become a productive sourcing and selling opportunity for the UK’s road transport industry. Each year thousands of visitors attend the show to potentially look at different ways of how new vehicles can benefit their business and speak to other people in the industry. The event is the largest and most comprehensive road transport event that is held in the UK.

Visitors came to the Commercial Vehicle Show over the two day show to see some of the most up to date vehicles and accessories that are currently on the market today and some that will be introduced later in the year. Anything from heavy trucks, temperature controlled transport to street cleansing vehicles were showcased.

The event allowed companies to see the next new vehicle that is being manufactured which could help their businesses to grow successfully. The show also allows companies to build working relationships within the industry.

Research showed that 3 out of every 4 visitors were fleet owners, a director, senior manager or engineer with most having sole or joint purchasing responsibility within their company. Many don’t attend any other show other than the Commercial Vehicle show as others don’t have the one-on-one interaction that the show offers.

With this year’s show being a great success it is hoped next year will be too with even more vehicles and accessories on show for prospective buyers.

Ian Donaldson, Managing director of Autonet Insurance commented: “The Commercial Vehicle Show is a great way of showcasing the latest vehicles for the transport industry. The one-on-one communication that the show enables is a successful way of allowing businesses to grow.”
