Autonet raise 28,000 for charity

Autonet Insurance is pleased to announce that £28,000 has been raised throughout 2013 to help charitable causes both nationally and locally.

The Autonet Charity Committee was set up after staff and directors wanted to give back to the local community. As a business Autonet passionately strive to help and support charitable causes and organisations in the local community.

Autonet employees contribute as a whole with their efforts to organise events through sheer dedication and enthusiasm to raise as much funding as possible and to offer a great deal of support in times of need. Fundraising can be anything from a cake sale, dress down day to a sponsored challenge.

Karen Hancox-Barringer, Chairperson of the Autonet Charity Committee said: “Throughout 2013 we have continued to work with national and local charities that are such worthy causes. This has been our most successful year since the committee started in 2010.”

The charities Autonet have donated to in 2013 include Autism Aware UK, Breast Cancer Care, Comic Relief, Crohn’s and Colitis UK, Douglas Macmillan, Cheethams Children Centre and Arch North Staffs. Local charities have also received donations including Douglas Macmillan, Free Spirits Day Care Centre and the Caudwell Children.

Since the Autonet Charity Committee first began in 2010 over £60,000 has been raised to charities locally and nationally.

Ian Donaldson, Managing Director of Autonet Insurance said: “It is great to see how much money Autonet has raised for 2013. We are a local business and it is fantastic to help out so many charities. We hope to raise even more money in 2014.”
