Learner driver insurance through Marmalade
All learner driver policies will cover the learner to take their test, however if you choose a short term policy, you will need to arrange a ride home as cover ceases as soon as the learner receives a full licence.
Provisional insurance options
Choose from two types of annual learner insurance
Named Young driver (cover on a family member’s or friend’s car) or Black Box Insurance (cover on young drivers own car).
Both annual policies allow the learner driver to start earning their own no claims bonus. Learners covered with one of the annual policies can also enjoy seamless cover from provisional licence to full licence, with no price increase.
Black box technology is used on both annual learner policies, allowing the driver to improve their driving skills.
Flexible temporary learner insurance
Marmalade short term learner insurance allows the learner to practice their driving skills in a family member’s or friend’s car. Short term cover options from 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, or 240 days, with options to add 7 or 14 days when getting another quote as an existing learner insurance customer.
Temporary learner insurance provides instant cover, as there is no black box technology used.
