Got breakdown cover and need help?

You can add breakdown cover to your existing Van Insurance policy mid-term, however only the UK Roadside Breakdown element of cover is available for the first 24 hours of your policy. If you add EU breakdown cover, any claims made within the first 10 days will not be covered.

To register for the documents portal and manage your documents 24/7, follow these steps:

3. On the registration page, enter the email address you would like to use for your account in the 'Email address' field
4. Enter the password you would like to use in the 'Password' and 'Confirm password' fields
5. Click ‘Register’
6. You will now receive an email from [email protected] to the email you entered earlier
7. Click on the first link in the email to verify your email address
8. You should now see a Registration Confirmation screen

To login to the documents portal, follow these steps:

3. Enter the email address you used to register for the portal in the 'Email Address' field
4. Enter the password you created when you registered in the 'Password' field
5. Click 'Sign in'

You can reset your password online — just follow the steps below and we will email you straightaway:

4. Enter the email address you used to register for the portal in the 'Email' field, and then click 'Submit'
5. If your email address matches our records, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password

To view and manage documents for a policy, you first need to add it to your account:

1. Log in to the portal at portal.autonetinsurance.co.uk
2. On the 'My Policies' screen, select ‘Add policy’.
3. Enter your Client Reference -- you can find this on the email you received containing your policy documents, or on your documents themselves.
4. Enter the policyholder's surname.
5. Enter the postcode of the address on the policy.
6. Enter the policyholder's date of birth.
7. Select 'Add policy'.
8. If the details you have entered match our records, you will see a message to confirm your policy has been added.

You can upload copies of your driving licence, No Claims Bonus or other documents by following the steps below.

Please note, to upload documents for a policy, you must first have added the policy in your account. If you have not added your policy, please follow the instructions in our 'How do I view a policy in the portal?' FAQ.

1. Log in to the portal at portal.autonetinsurance.co.uk
2. On the 'My Policies' screen, click 'Options' on the policy you want to upload documents for.
3. Select 'Upload documents'.
4. On the 'Manage Documents' screen, click 'Browse' and select the file from your computer.
5. Select the relevant policy from the drop down.
6. Select the relevant document type from the drop down.
7. Click 'Upload Document'.
